To start off with the 10-day challenge I’ve decided to look at the artist Piet Mondrian. He’s a french paint who has worked in the areas of minimalism and Post-impressionism. I focused on his paintings of trees, specifically abstract works as I find creating abstract images take more effort and thought in comparison to just painting/taking a photograph.

I really like this photograph for the strong bold lines and very pale colour palette. I feel having an image that is hard to figure out what is the subject creates more mystery and speculation as to what the meaning behind the image is.
