AO1 Still Life, Colour Splash Research

Recently I have been using a technique called ‘Selective Colour Photography’ where one colour, or multiple colours, this makes the colour more prominent thank any others because the rest of the image is in black and white. Wikipedia defines ‘Selective Colour Photography’ as ‘Selective colour is used to accentuate certain features of a photography. By leaving certain areas of a photo coloured, and filling the rest of the photo with grayscale, one can highlight certain parts of an image to make them stand out.’

The picture that inspired me was an album cover I was this then I started to look more in depth at the technique.

No copyright infringement intended.

This is the image that inspired me, more can be found by clicking here and I have also put together a mood board on Pinterest of other Photos I have taken inspiration from.

And here are a few of my Photo I have taken in this style.
